Nate Austin is a dynamic singer song-writer and record producer from London, UK. He currently lives in Sussex where he writes and releases music independently. His music is a mixture of catchy and memorable blends of pop, rock, hip hop, acoustic and electronic styles.

Nate left an office career in London 5 years ago to follow his passion - and has never looked back! Having learnt a whole new entire industry since that time, Nate now writes, produces, records, releases and promotes all of his own music and shows himself.

Since launching his debut album in April 2019, Nate has increased his fanbase in the UK and globally, with live videos "I'm Your Man" and "Another Love" going viral in South Africa on Facebook.

He has played hundreds of shows (previously touring South East England, Europe, USA, Asia), and has built up a large, cosmopolitan following. He has just completed a three show series residency run at The Grey Lady Music Lounge in Tunbridge Wells.

On a personal note, Nate has suffered from debilitating PTSD at times of his life, due to previous life events. Of his experience he says:

"It got to the point where I found it impossible to do anything. I couldn't control my brain at all. I couldn't focus, speak clearly, communicate well or even sit down for longer than 30 seconds a time. I suffered sleepless nights from constant flashbacks and intrusive thoughts. I tried to deal with this by obsessively making music to help ease the pain, but ended up hating myself more when I couldn't finish any of the songs I started. It got to the point where my life was turned upside down, and I had to speak out and seek help. I'd silently suffered for years, so this was extremely difficult for me to do at the time. However, it is the best thing I have ever done, and the best decision I ever made. I wasn't in a good place at the time, but thankfully, I'm not there anymore!"

Fast forward a year, and I've managed to: release 17 songs, complete a successful residency series and record an exciting, fresh EP! Life isn't linear, it has it's ups and downs, but one thing I've learnt, is that it is so important to speak out when you need help, and there is no shame in doing so. It's been the hardest journey of my life, but it's so worth it. Now I try to encourage others to get the help they need so that they can reach their potential and I can't wait to share my story, the lessons I've learnt and the music I've with the world. For a while I experimented with different styles, formats and influences, but none of them really called to me. My history has aided my passion for music, and has enabled me to have the ability to deliver it in the most authentic way possible. By overcoming my mental health issues, I have rediscovered my love for my original voice, which I hope will encourage other's to find their's too."

With several new tunes and a UK tour on the horizon, 2020 is going to be his biggest and best year yet
